Who do? What would you do if the government cast a voodoo spell over the nation, ensuring it’s always Saturday? Would you party on knowing the tropical rhythms and party vibes will never stop? Or would you want to find out more? You’ll have to come and find out. The Roxy Bar is already the coolest bar in town, but for Fringe 2010 we’re transforming the whole space into a tropical shanty town. Edinburgh’s biggest, grooviest independent club night Departure Lounge will be ensuring there’s always brilliant music to get down to, with live musicians and DJs every night of the Festival. THE ACOUSTIC CAFE Six soothing showcases of the best in alternative acoustic music, visuals and performance, to seduce you away from anywhere else in the city at this time of night. Edinburgh's Acoustic Cafe hasn't failed to sell out its shows to date: come and see why. The nights are curated by Guardian-acclaimed DIY music site www.tentracks.co.uk whose artist friendly pricing model has attracted labels such as Fat Cat (Frightened Rabbit, The Twilight Sad), One Little Indian (Bjšrk) and independent releases from King Creosote & James Yorkston, plus a host of DIY bands. The atmosphere that this ethos translates to in their live events has to be felt to be believed. Ten Tracks' head of A&R also programmes music for the Roxy outside August, so expect a uniquely informed pick of local, national and international acoustic artists, as well as sets by full bands tailored for a late night lounge experience. Food will also be on offer, showcasing the cafes and diners of Edinburgh that most encourage the live music scene. And each event will be recorded and a high-quality downloadable memento will be emailed to everyone in attendance, soon after the event. 00:30 (2hrs 30mins) £9.00(£5.00) £20.00 all six shows

Et Al Theatre / Roxy Art House Attention: by majority vote, the legislation to redistribute resources to deserving citizens, formally known as Operation Methuselah, has now been passed and will be in effect immediately from this day, 30 October 1979. All persons over the age of 65, the terminally ill and the handicapped, please report to your nearest Chamber's clinic for processing. Reduced to numbers, three distraught patients await 'processing'. They are forced to face their regrets, unfulfilled dreams and most importantly their own mortality, a harrowing and bleakly comic realisation which has not existed in the human psyche since 1979, except in Chamber's clinic... **** The Journal ('sophisticated and intelligent, maintaining a striking tension', on The Homecoming, 2010)
